OPINION ESSAY

Many people think that death is a taboo. But why do they believe it? It is a very normal and present event in us, in our life.

I think people think that the death is a taboo because it's a think that happens every day and it is a sad thing. We don't like to happen but it's the law of life. It's a event that we don't know when it will happen and we believe that if we talk less about it, it will take longer to reach.

Finally, death, like it or not, is a positive thing because it makes people leave so they can come other people and the cycle of life work.

Syria war: Aleppo self-rule plan rejected by government

A UN proposal to end heavy fighting in the city of Aleppo has been rejected by the Syrian government. The cancelier Walid al-Muallem  called the idea a violation of "national sovereignty". A days before eight boys died and a family of six members died too because of a bomb.

Mr De Mistura arrived in the country amid growing concern for the residents of east Aleppo. The World Health Organization says they are almost entirely without hospital facilities following the government's latest assault. At least 103 people have died in rebel-controlled areas since the bombardment began on Tuesday, following a three-week moratorium.

Amid: in the middle of.

Concern: to be of interest or importance to.

Assault: a sudden violent attack.

I think this of Syria is their fault, especially because Europe and the United States contribute to them and they do not accept it.

MY NEW FAVOURITE BREAKFAST

This is my favourite breakfast. Is super quikly and easy to do and I show you how we recreate it:

 Ingredients:

.115g avena

.250ml milk

.1/2 spoon of chia seeds

.strawberries

.blueberries

.blakberries

.raspberries

Process:

1. Firsy you have to mix the chia with the milk

2. Then you have to put it in the microwave for 2:20 minutes aproximated

3. Mix all very well with the spoon

4. Then put it into the fridge for 5-10 minutes aproximated

5. Cut small pieces of the diferent types of fruit

6. And finally put all the fruit over the mixture

And that's all is super easy to recreate it and it's very delicious. The fruit gives a fresh and healthy touch to this recipt.

REBEL SONG

This song "Mr.President-Pink" talks about diferent social classes and the president. She asked at him if he felt proud smyleing while the other people are passing poverty and hunger and he doesn't do anythyng for help at him.

EAR ON THE ARM

A Chainese man lost an ear in an accident. He felt different and he wanted to implant a fake ear. For that reason the doctors took a cartilage from this man ribs, then cut the cartilage into the shape of an ear and they implanted the cartilage under the skin of the man.

Now the artificial ear needs to grow up for a few months and then the doctors will operate another time and they will cut off the ear of the arm and they'll put the ear in the side of his face. He has gone through many operations since his accident, not only for his ear, but also for his skin and cheeks.

Rib: one of a series of curved bones connected to the backbone and occurring in pairs on each side of the body.

Pioneering: being the earliest in a field of study, activity, etc.

Subsequently: occurring after.

This idea that have had the doctors is very well but on the other hand I think it's a nonsense since this man basically has done it to look better, since the ear will not let you hear anything.

MY SUMMER 

I like summer because there isn't school, we can travel with the family and another funny things, but I prefer winter.

This summer I go with my cousins, my sister and my grandparents on a cruise by the mediterranean sea; rome, florence, pompeya, pisa, costa smeralda and cerdegna. We had a great time, we went 8 days and 7 nights. At first it was unpleasant because the conditions of the boat were not as we expected and we had too much problems. I remeber the good moments into the cruise and the activities that we did.

Also I went to Formentera 4 days and I stayed in my town having a great time.

CHRISTMAS!!

Winter is my favourite season of the year because it comes accompanied with christmas. I love christmas because, appart of the presents, we make many meals with the family and we can open the fire and watch films or christmas films... I love it!! I love mount the christmas tree, put the christmas lights for decore my home, drink hot chocolate and go to buy the presents.

For example with my family we go to Olot in "La fageda de'n Jordà!" and we do some funny things. There are some songs that I listen in Christmas or before christmas to remember it, like "All I want for christmas is you-Mariah Carey" and "Black magic-Little Mix".

BOXING

We start by the dictionary definition;

Is a combat sport in which two opponents fight using only their gloved fists, striking their opponent from the waist up, within a quadrilateral specially designed for that purpose, in short sequences of fight called assaults or rounds.

Now I'm practice boxing and I want to explain you a few things about it.

I think it's a good sport for practice personal defence, do sports and mold your body. It's funy and enjoyable.

For practice this we need some basic things for example: equipment; boxing gloves, a leggings, and that's it!

Now we need to know some techniques for hit. These blows with rights and left hands. And the blow in the rib with both hands too.

I choose this song; takin' a bout revolution because I think is the best one of th three songs that are in the blog. The song talks about that a revolution is starting. He also talks about the poor people who rebels because the army is going to steal their houses and other things.

SCOTTISH WEDDING

Introduction

Hi, we are Aina and Fatima. We have choosen the Scottish Wedding. Why?

First we were going to choose the hindú wedding because they have lot of traditions but finally we choose this option.

Because they have  funny traditions and we want share with all of you.

The Save the Date

First they send the Save the date, It's a card for to warn the day of the wedding and various months more late, they send the official invitation.

The scottish weddings are more organitze than the spanish weddings

Bridesmaids: They are dressed the same and they help the bride get dressed and other things. One of them carries the one of the rings.

Best man.Normally they are three. They dress up with a traditional suit (Highland dress), always the same color. In addition to accompanying the groom and helping him ,they are the managers of giving speeches during the banquet. One of them carries the other ring.

Piper. At a Scottish wedding alway there is the piper. He announce the arrival of the godmother in the place of the ceremony.

TRADITIONAL CLOTHING

The scottish couple use a kilt with the tartán (fabrics of squares) from their clan.

The girlfriend can wear a brooch tied with a piece of this tartán. It represents the union to the new family.

At Scottish weddings it's not out of protocol that the godmother and the guests dress in white.

Kilt. The skirt is the main and most striking element of the costume. The colors  vary according to the family.

Kilt hose. They are made of pure wool and reach below the knee.

Ghillie brogues. They are leather shoes (usually black) also they wear a long sleeve shirt, waistcoat, belt, tie or bow tie and jacket.

FOOD AND SPEECHES

The dishes always are individual and they not put anything to share. The best-man, like the boyfriend and girlfriend’s father they give speeches that have been preparing weeks.

MUSIC

Always they have music in live. The traditional dances, called cèilidh, have originated in Scotland.

BEFORE THE WEDDING

-Before of the wedding, the girlfriend should open the gifts that she received in the wedding day. In adittion she shoulds dress up with a veil with any piece of cloth ( paper, bath courtain, paper...it’s very fun.

It’s given and an urn and should go out with the rest of her friends to exchange kisses for money with other boys and this money will be deposited in this urn.

The friends dress up the groom like a pregnant woman and he have to walk down the street

WEDDING

One of the traditions performed at the ceremony is the Handsfasting. It consists in a ritual to symbolize the unity of the new marriage. The bride and groom intertwine their hands, joined by a cord.

Do you know, what is the luckenbooth? It's a silver clasp with two hearts joined together engraved. The groom gives her bride like a sign of love.

United States Election Special

Donald Trump explains to the press that if he loses against Hillary Clinton he will not accept defeat. He also says that if he loses it will be because the elections are manipulated. These words of Trump among others, put in doubt the peace in the United States. A few days later in Delaware, Ohio, he made some comments about the language of Latin people and about Hilary as an "unpleasant woman".
Hillary Clinton said that his competitor's statements were "horrible" and accused him of taking refuge in the idea that any event that turns out against him - even an Emmy award that goes to a rival- is "rigged."

Refuge: a place of shelter, protection, or safety.
Defeat: to overcome in a contest.
Rigged: to fit (a ship, etc.) with ropes, chains, etc.

ABOUT ME

Hi!
My name is Aina Ferran I'm 16 and I'm medium-height teenager that loves pasta. I'm writing for school's blog. I think that I’m a shy girl, well only for just some things but with the people that I know a lot I’m very open person. I live in Spain and I study 1rst of Batxillerat social. I start with this blog the last year and I hope to improve it. I'm very negative with myself but when something goes down I'm very positive!
I think life is wonderful and we must exploit it! My favourite phrase is "Doing what you love is never a waste of time".

This summer I have not done too much only I working in the boutique of my father and in the hairdressing of my mother. I'm studying for my moto license. And I spent the summer in the pool and watching TV. But next summer I would like to go to England with my cousin for a month and do many more things. I love do sport at my home watching TV. This year I think it will be very difficult, and I'm very scared, but I think it will be a good year too. I’m so excited to start! I hope to study hard and not be lazy and I hope not to repeat.

This year students of the highschool of fourth of eso have made a musical fame.

All students that we didn't, we went to see the dress rehearsal. Personally i liked very much. They danced very well and they sang very well but they looked a little nervous and they not reminded some parts of the text.

EXPLOSION IN MEXICO

An explosion has ripped throught a petrochemical plant on the sothern coast of the Gulf of Mexico. The blast happenes at the Mexican national oil company Pemex in the Gulf state of Veracruz. The plant produces vinyl chloride, a hazardous industrial chemical that's used to make PVP pipes. A local hospital has put a handwritten list of the injured being treated as worried family members arrived to check on their loved ones.
Residents were told to stay indoors because of the possible toxic nature of the smoke.

My favourite love song and romantic film are titanic. I love the meaning of the song of the titanic film. The song speaks of love of the two and that will always be somewhere.
