I choose this song; takin' a bout revolution because I think is the best one of th three songs that are in the blog. The song talks about that a revolution is starting. He also talks about the poor people who rebels because the army is going to steal their houses and other things.

SCOTTISH WEDDING

Introduction

Hi, we are Aina and Fatima. We have choosen the Scottish Wedding. Why?

First we were going to choose the hindú wedding because they have lot of traditions but finally we choose this option.

Because they have  funny traditions and we want share with all of you.

The Save the Date

First they send the Save the date, It's a card for to warn the day of the wedding and various months more late, they send the official invitation.

The scottish weddings are more organitze than the spanish weddings

Ceremony: 12:30     

Reception with drinks 15:00

Banquet 15:15

Reception 18:00

Cake and live music 20:00

Buffet 21:15

Balloonds and flares 10:30

Bridesmaids: They are dressed the same and they help the bride get dressed and other things. One of them carries the one of the rings.

Best man.Normally they are three. They dress up with a traditional suit (Highland dress), always the same color. In addition to accompanying the groom and helping him ,they are the managers of giving speeches during the banquet. One of them carries the other ring.

Piper. At a Scottish wedding alway there is the piper. He announce the arrival of the godmother in the place of the ceremony.

TRADITIONAL CLOTHING

The scottish couple use a kilt with the tartán (fabrics of squares) from their clan.

The girlfriend can wear a brooch tied with a piece of this tartán. It represents the union to the new family.

At Scottish weddings it's not out of protocol that the godmother and the guests dress in white.

Kilt. The skirt is the main and most striking element of the costume. The colors  vary according to the family.

Kilt hose. They are made of pure wool and reach below the knee.

Ghillie brogues. They are leather shoes (usually black) also they wear a long sleeve shirt, waistcoat, belt, tie or bow tie and jacket.

FOOD AND SPEECHES

The dishes always are individual and they not put anything to share. The best-man, like the boyfriend and girlfriend’s father they give speeches that have been preparing weeks.

MUSIC

Always they have music in live. The traditional dances, called cèilidh, have originated in Scotland.

BEFORE THE WEDDING

-Before of the wedding, the girlfriend should open the gifts that she received in the wedding day. In adittion she shoulds dress up with a veil with any piece of cloth ( paper, bath courtain, paper...it’s very fun.

It’s given and an urn and should go out with the rest of her friends to exchange kisses for money with other boys and this money will be deposited in this urn.

The friends dress up the groom like a pregnant woman and he have to walk down the street

WEDDING

One of the traditions performed at the ceremony is the Handsfasting. It consists in a ritual to symbolize the unity of the new marriage. The bride and groom intertwine their hands, joined by a cord.

Do you know, what is the luckenbooth? It's a silver clasp with two hearts joined together engraved. The groom gives her bride like a sign of love.

United States Election Special

Donald Trump explains to the press that if he loses against Hillary Clinton he will not accept defeat. He also says that if he loses it will be because the elections are manipulated. These words of Trump among others, put in doubt the peace in the United States. A few days later in Delaware, Ohio, he made some comments about the language of Latin people and about Hilary as an "unpleasant woman".
Hillary Clinton said that his competitor's statements were "horrible" and accused him of taking refuge in the idea that any event that turns out against him - even an Emmy award that goes to a rival- is "rigged."

Refuge: a place of shelter, protection, or safety.
Defeat: to overcome in a contest.
Rigged: to fit (a ship, etc.) with ropes, chains, etc.

ABOUT ME

Hi!
My name is Aina Ferran I'm 16 and I'm medium-height teenager that loves pasta. I'm writing for school's blog. I think that I’m a shy girl, well only for just some things but with the people that I know a lot I’m very open person. I live in Spain and I study 1rst of Batxillerat social. I start with this blog the last year and I hope to improve it. I'm very negative with myself but when something goes down I'm very positive!
I think life is wonderful and we must exploit it! My favourite phrase is "Doing what you love is never a waste of time".

This summer I have not done too much only I working in the boutique of my father and in the hairdressing of my mother. I'm studying for my moto license. And I spent the summer in the pool and watching TV. But next summer I would like to go to England with my cousin for a month and do many more things. I love do sport at my home watching TV. This year I think it will be very difficult, and I'm very scared, but I think it will be a good year too. I’m so excited to start! I hope to study hard and not be lazy and I hope not to repeat.

This year students of the highschool of fourth of eso have made a musical fame.

All students that we didn't, we went to see the dress rehearsal. Personally i liked very much. They danced very well and they sang very well but they looked a little nervous and they not reminded some parts of the text.

EXPLOSION IN MEXICO

An explosion has ripped throught a petrochemical plant on the sothern coast of the Gulf of Mexico. The blast happenes at the Mexican national oil company Pemex in the Gulf state of Veracruz. The plant produces vinyl chloride, a hazardous industrial chemical that's used to make PVP pipes. A local hospital has put a handwritten list of the injured being treated as worried family members arrived to check on their loved ones.
Residents were told to stay indoors because of the possible toxic nature of the smoke.

MY FAVOURITE LOVE SONG AND LOVE STORY

My favourite love song and romantic film are titanic. I love the meaning of the song of the titanic film. The song speaks of love of the two and that will always be somewhere.
